Me on Conan on Bostonist

I've never live-blogged before, but Bostonist wanted someone to do Conan's first "Tonight Show" so I gave it a shot.

I already liked Conan O'Brien, so I liked the new show for the most part. I get the feeling that it's going get better as time goes by.

If you didn't watch, you can read my notes. I hope most people didn't read along as I went, because I didn't write enough commentary to go with the play-by-play.

Recent Bostonist Stuff

Sabina Sciubba, Brazilian GirlsAlgonquin Club swizzle stick

I really thought I'd write more stuff for Bostonist, but I'm trying to keep this thing current and do the other stuff in my life. Maybe I can drive some of my massive traffic their way.

Anyway... these items don't really fit here, but some of you might be interested:

Do you like Brazilian Girls? I interviewed Sabina (the only girl in the band). I wish we could've been in the same room; it would've been a better interview. C'est la vie.

Everyone loves a Clark Rockefeller story. I went to a wedding at the Algonquin Club and bugged people about him until someone told me he was a nut.

BTW: You wouldn't believe how close I am to having a full weekly Cheap Thrills list! Stay tuned.

Make an "Green" Resolution by 4/7 to Win a Prize

The Earth will be fine; people will just disappear...If you make an Earth Day resolution by 4/7, you may win some laundry detergent.

Besides doing stuff for free, I love winning stuff for little or no effort.

I tried a sample of eco-friendly detergent called dropps. It worked great, and I liked the smell of my laundry. Eventually I might switch from my bargain detergent (which also leaves pleasant fragrance)... I'm on the mailing list now, and they're having a contest to win a 3-month supply.

All you have to do is post a resolution about treating Planet Earth nicely, and they will pick 3 winners randomly. You have until Monday 4/7 to enter.

Earth Day is 4/22, btw.

Hey, I'm compiling the "Boston Blotter" daily crime wrap-up for Bostonist today. I filled in on Monday and am doing it again today. I hope to provide a lighter side of crime as much as possible...
