Sunday in Brief

Hey, it's not too late to get some construction paper and put in a poem to say, "Thanks Mom!"

Any of today's cheapness could be enjoyable with or without a maternal unit whether it's flowers, ducklings, art, country, toy pianos, or adult-size rock guitars.

That's the kind of stuff on the Sunday calendar.

There might be a Dr Sketchy session at Great Scott this afternoon too, but it looks very tentative.

Saturday Calendar

This has not been a good day for blogging, but it's a beautiful day. Enjoy yourselves!

Maybe you feel like some art by day or catching some bands tonight...

Thursday in Brief

Friday cheapness is on the calendar.

If you're interested about tonight:

** There is a panel discussion at the BPL regarding the issue of Boston nightlife and the closing times of bars. Registration required.

** Brookline Booksmith has arranged an Augusten Burroughs reading at the Coolidge Corner Theatre ($5).

** It's one of those robot competitions at MIT where they will have to perform tasks and games that you'd find at a carnival or county fair.

** You can hear some excellent Australian psych-pop at the Plough & Stars as well as a couple sweet New England bands. Despite the cool flyer, I doubt the music will begin anywhere close to 8pm. Maybe 9pm ($7).

Wednesday thru Friday Calendar

Feel like stepping out tonight?
