Sneak Peek: "Free Fun" on FRI 9/3 & SAT 9/4

Various Times
"Free Fun Fridays" Weekend Finale
at Various Locations, MA
FREE

Why pay $10 to see Larry Bird's locker when you can go into the Garden's Sports Museum (10am to 4pm) for free?

Although I didn't post it on the main page every week, I'm proud to say that I mentioned the whole thing back in July and it was on the calendar.

For the final bit of free Friday Fun, it's spilling over to Saturday -- and happening at places all over the Commonwealth:

FRI 9/3

New England Historic Genealogical Society
Sports Museum
EcoTarium (Worcester)
Cape Cod Museum of Art
New Bedford Whaling Museum
Concord Museum
Stone Zoo
Buttonwood Park Zoo
SAT 9/4
Edward Gorey House (Yarmouth Port)
Worcester Art Museum
USS Constitution Museum
Basketball Hall of Fame (Springfield)
American Textile History Museum (Lowell)
Discovery Museums (Acton)
Cape Cod Children's Museum
Berkshire Museum
Yep, go to any of these places for free with no strings attached. The Highland Street Foundation just wants to let people have a little culture that they might not shell out the money for.

Check ahead, because I'm guessing some of those Cape places may not open due to Hurricane Earl.

Remember what my brother says: "Two's company, free's a crowd."
