If you're near Copley Sq and haven't gone in, Trinity Church is quite a sight to behold. They basically want $6 from you to visit (discounts available for seniors, students, and those under 17) whether you go on a tour or just walk around by yourself. Check their site for the details.
When I recently went, they were advertising a free organ demonstration; and they still wanted us to shell out a few bucks. We decided to take their "free" sign at face value and ignored the woman who wanted us to pay.
There are free tours after Sunday morning services (noonish/12:15pm), and they say you can go in for free for "prayer" and "meditation" -- so go ahead and take them up on it some time...
It's more like an American cathedral than your average church. Amazing, really... Definitely worth barging in... or maybe paying the $6...

Trinity Church is a wonderful and important building that deserves support. However, since Trinity doesn't pay real estate taxes, I think property owners who pay Boston Property Tax might find the desire for free prayer or meditation to be especially appropriate.
Yes, it is wonderful. I recommend supporting organizations when possible, but it doesn't hurt to walk in and say that you "need a place to pray for a little while"...
