MON 5/12: Acoustic Hardcore & Bay State Bike Week

Bay State Bike Week
Wow, I didn't have much for Monday... There's always free bowling at the Milky Way and beginner's salsa open to all at MIT...

--------------------------------------------------------------

MON 5/12

10pm
Cash In/Check Out, Tyler Baker, Scott Bishop, Paul Clark
at ZuZu!, 474 Mass Ave, Cambridge (Central Sq)
FREE

After much complaining (by me, mainly to myself) about their decision to end live performances, ZuZu has quietly, occasionally hosted live music here and there. I didn't find much about Art.to.Choke.Hearts, but I think it's associated with Cash In/Check Out. (I also saw the Steve Brodsky has a song called "Art To Choke Hearts"...) From the two web presences I found, you're in for a night of aggressive acoustic music that could probably teach some electric bands a lesson about intensity.

MON 5/12 to SUN 5/18

Bay State Bike Week

Bicycles: No gasoline required! It's time to take your two-wheeler out of storage, unless you’re my buddies Stewart and Scott who probably rode through the winter.

May is National Bike Month, and Massachusetts hopes that the citizenry will collectively commute 50,000 miles this week. Go to the website to add your bikeage to the tally.

Find free biker breakfast treats at various spots in Cambridge through Thursday, and they're giving out a gift on Friday morning.

Boston is piling on the breakfast and goodies on Friday at Govt Center (and other points on this slightly confusing PDF map).
