THUR 7/12: Volunteers Needed for Annual Lantern Festival

Annual Lantern Festival
at Lake Hibiscus, Forest Hills Cemetery, 95 Forest Hills Ave, Jamaica Plain

Volunteer shifts:
5pm to 7:30pm - OR - 7pm to 9pm

The Annual Lantern Festival is one of the beautiful events every year, and it would be a real shame if there was any reason why they couldn't continue.

I got an email saying they still need volunteers, so just passing it on:

The Trust still needs volunteers to help run the 14th annual Lantern Festival on Thursday, July 12th.

You will be selling shades, passing out programs, handing out lantern bases and generally helping make this enormous community event a success. There are two shifts: 5-7:30pm and 7-9pm.

For your help, you will receive free parking and a free lantern.

If you're interested, send an email and let them know which shift you would prefer.

The rain date is THUR 7/19.

Keep the shortcut from the Forest Hills T in mind.

HEY:

I meant to include that the Boston Derby Dames are looking for volunteers -- no experience necessary -- to assist on SAT 7/14 at 3:15pm. Get in touch with Pepper.

And it's a fun time for $14...
