Weekend Calendar/Preview

Am heading to the Dropkicks/Bosstones show tonight, so there probably won't be another post until tomorrow morning.

As for Saturday...

Whether you're interested in Porsches (SAT) or classic European motorcycles (SUN), you might want to spend some time at the Larz Anderson Museum in Brookline.

There's a bunch of international flavors this weekend including the Cambridge Carnival and Somerville's Brasileiro Festival.

There's Shakespeare in Davis Square and Charlestown.

You only have two more chances to tango over the Charles River this year (unless you dance on your own). And the weather may not be better next month...

There are several good cheap music options like Ketman's last show at Great Scott and Wheat at Church.

Of course, the Boston Improv Festival lasts through Sunday.

Yeah, a bunch of 9/11 memorial events are on Sunday's list. How could I judge which ones aren't that interesting? So I put as many cheap/free gigs that I saw.

I didn't check today, but you might want to consider advance tix for Sunday's Ice Cream Showdown.
