SUN 8/1: Sunday Night Off-Topic Video

The Sunday Night Off-Topic Video started out as the Sunday Night Vide-O-bama, so I'm going partisan again for an amusing pair of videos.

This week there was a vote for a bill in the House that would have provided funds for sick 9/11 responders. It wasn't really that simple, because the vote required a 2/3 majority so no stupid amendments would be added.

In fairness, the Republicans listed their problems with the bill. Still, it's difficult for me to swallow their about-face in supporting the 9/11 workers in 9 years.

I was alone, and Rep. Weiner (D-NY) let them have it after the bill was defeated (most Dems voted yes, most Repubs voted no).



Good message, no?

Weiner and Rep. Peter King (R-NY) went on Fox together to talk about it, and it doesn't seem like the GOP argument didn't become much stronger the next day.
