MON 6/6: Film, Rock, Bike

Yes, it was a rather disappointing blog performance over the weekend. I think I might focus my blog time to do a quality job for next weekend.

For something over $10 tonight, you'll get your money's worth with the food, drink and raffle ticket at Redbones' Annual Bike Party.

In years past the meal has been a Redbones sandwich (meat or vegetarian) with fixin's along with a soft drink or Harpoon beer, which would probably cost close to entry donation.

The Second Line Social Aid & Pleasure Society Brass Band will play, and event proceeds benefit MassBike & NEMBA.

MON 6/6

6pm to 9pm
Civil War Movies: "The Prisoner of Shark Island"
at Rabb Lecture Hall, Boston Public Library, 700 Boylston St, Boston (Copley Sq)
FREE

About 75 years before the release of "The Conspirator", director John Ford examined the trials regarding Lincoln's assassination with the focus on the doctor who treated John Wilkes Booth's broken leg.

MON 6/6

9:30pm
The Major Stars, HotChaCha, Foreign Objects
at Charlie's Kitchen, 10 Eliot St, Cambridge (Harvard Sq)
$5 / 21+

The special treat is Cleveland's HotChaCha who make a big, fuzzy rock that is a cool mix of loud 'n fast but also stretching out. It should be a good night with The Major Stars' sweetly skewed psychedelic noise and the punky Foreign Objects.

Hi Rob,
I'm a religious follower of your blog. Many an awesome evening has been inspired by your posts! One thing that I'd like to complain about though, is how often you apologize. It's not the end of the world if you don't get a full listing up over the weekend or even if you skip a day. Don't beat yourself up so much! You're doing a great job providing a free service, and no apologies are necessary if you end up having too much fun at events around town to update your listings every once in a while.
