This Day in Boston History -- Oct. 21

Go fair! Go fair!
1797:

The U.S.S. Constitution ("Old Ironsides") was launched in Boston Harbor.
1975:
Carlton Fisk hit that famous homer where he cajoled it inside of the left field foul pole for a 7-6 victory in the 12th inning of Game 6. (Cheer up, folks. The Sox won in '04 and '07.)
