FRI 12/19 & SAT 12/20: Doctor Who @ Brattle Theatre

10pm
"Hooked On Who TWO"
at Brattle Theatre, 40 Brattle St, Cambridge (Harvard Sq)
$5 minimum donation

The first "Hooked on Who" sessions happened in August. It was fun in a midnight-movie kind of way on the night I attended. Tom Baker was "The Doctor" I grew up with, so I chose a to catch a 4-part story arc from that era. The script was by Douglas Adams, so there were more laugh lines than usual; people were guffawing and yelling stuff.

On Friday, it'll be another 4-parter with Tom Baker. On Saturday, it's a matching pair of episodes with my favorite "revival" Doctors, Christopher Eccleston.

FRI 12/19

"City Of Death" (1979)
- starring Tom Baker [100 min]
SAT 12/20
"The Empty Child" & "The Doctor Dances" (2005)
- starring Christopher Eccleston [90 min]
Last time it had been billed as a "free" event, but they asked if I wanted to make a donation when I arrived. I was on a 'cheapness adventure' (having gone to Sex & Drugs Trivia at Savant Project with some fellow Bostonists), so I said "Maybe afterwards..." then snuck out with wallet unopened.

It is strongly suggested that you RSVP, and they ask your donation amount. (There's a "HOOKED ON WHO" t-shirt offer for a $25 donation.) There were empty seats that Sunday night, but they might not let you in if you don't register.
