SUN 10/3: Neon Indian - Sorta Secret & Free

Until I finish the full post, there is Saturday cheapness on the calendar.

Neon Indian
at The Trolley Barn, about 540 Harrison Ave, Boston (South End)

You probably heard about this gig already, because it was supposed to be a semi-secret show and you're very cool... and people like you...

Urban Outfitters is sponsoring the show, and they posted a few hints about the location, but they really want to let you know where it is. (And they probably know that it wouldn't be secret for long that to the Web.)

Some things I like right away, and Neon Indian doesn't fit into that category. It's not bad stuff, so you might want to check out the mellow, psychedelic mix of electronics and live instruments.

Considering the Trolley Barn (aka Power Station) is fairly wide open, I was a little confused about the "doors at 3pm" and "admission on a first-come, first-served basis" business.

However I heard a rumor of free stuff and/or Urban Outfitters gift cards, so maybe you want to get there early to possibly pick up something extra.
